Creative and thoughtful dishes influenced by the flavors and aromas of Laos, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia are served daily at the Lemongrass Bistro in downtown Martinez. Voted best in this category for the third year, Lemongrass Bistro opened its doors in August 2009. Sisters Becky and Linda Pheng envisioned a restaurant where people could enjoy contemporary Southeast Asian food prepared by their mother, Boun Pheng. Think mango chicken, peanut sauce, green curry, pad thai. Their dream is now a successful reality that brings an “Asian Fusion” flair to the Martinez dining scene. The bistro setting was made possible by student designers from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. The bistro also offers carryout orders, caters and hosts private groups up to 50 people.
