Picture Holder
The Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association is a non-profit corporation operating Certified Farmers’ Markets throughout the Bay Area. There are currently 12 markets in Contra Costa County including Concord, Danville, Pleasant Hill, Richmond and San Pablo; and 14 in Alameda County including Dublin, Jack London Village, Livermore, Pleasanton and Union City. Many are open year round and some are seasonal. Giving California farmers’ and food producers the opportunity to market their fresh produce and wares while giving residents access to California grown and seasonally fresh produce is the big idea behind the popular farmers’ markets popping up in just about every town. The markets are also a good source of education concerning our food sources, nutrition and the sustainability of California agriculture.
